The Mexican artist, Tatiana Rajkov recently awarded at the Biennial of Contemporary Art in Argentina, creates realistic paintings that look like portals that lead us to landscapes full of life. Her meticulous technique makes her textures bring us closer to nature in an alluring way that invites you to take a closer look.

Born in 1983 in Mexico City and of Serbian descent, she received her formal education in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Italy, where she studied classical techniques. The artist focus her creative practice on large format oil landscapes and flowers. Why nature and flowers? Her gaze is a contemporary naturalist, this work does not contain any hint of human life, but rather chooses to highlight the beauty and splendor of the environment, intact and prosperous.

Rajkov’s inspiration stems from the diversity of Mexico’s landscapes, including the texture-filled forests of Valle de Bravo, where she lives.

To achieve the high level of realism in these contemplative works. Tatiana, she spends numerous days and weeks, devoting countless hours to a single painting. The approach of her to any of her canvases reveals this passionate dedication to represent in her works the most naturalness possible.
